One unforgettable summer on the idyllic southeast coast of Brazil, fourteen year-old Filipa is spending her vacation with her father, Mathias, her alcoholic mother, Clarice, and her two younger siblings in their beach house. Filipa observes that the relationship of her parents is deteriorating and, wanting to know why, she snoops in her father's office. There she uncovers pictures of Mathias with his American lover, Ângela, hidden in a drawer. When Mathias and Clarice announce a trial separation, Filipa believes that Ângela is responsible. But is she? Digging further, Filipa will soon discover her father’s infidelity is only the first of many dark family secrets. A gripping, suspenseful drama.

20h30    -  Africa's Lost Eden
                       Mozambique, USA | 2009 | 52 min | English

This film is a fascinating portrait of a part of Africa once known as “the place where Noah left his Ark:” 2,400 square kilometers of lush floodplains in central Mozambique, filled with wild animals. But decades of civil war have taken their toll. This documentary chronicles National Geographic Society’s attempts to help restore and revitalize Mozambique’s Gorongosa National Park, to try to bring its ravaged natural habitats back to their original, oasis-like beauty and richness.
